ANCHOR, A Non-denominational Community, Harvesting Our Resources, is a local organization whose mission was to engage in the holistic exploration of contemporary spiritual/religious/moral issues. ANCHOR, was an ecumenical group that had a long-standing relationship with St. Luke Catholic Church. ANCHOR has ceased hosting its monthly programs and special events, but ANCHOR continues to maintain libraries at two sites:
Since the Spring of 2003, St. Luke has provided an area in The Chapel House for a large portion of the ANCHOR Library. Parishioners and friends are invited to borrow materials from the Library, including a collection of books, transcripts, audio/video cassettes, printed and other material relating to religious/spiritual subjects.
In addition, ANCHOR
and the Alliance For A
Sustainable Future library resources can be found at The Cecilian
Center for Earth, Arts and Spirit at 100 West Carpenter Lane, Mount Airy,
The contents of the libraries and borrowing procedures are available in Adobe pdf format. You need Adobe Reader (formerly called Acrobat Reader) to read and/or download these. The Adobe Reader is free and it is quite useful. You can download it from:
